Al-Qanṭara

Al-Qanṭara has appeared since 1980, as a continuation of Al-Andalus (1933-1978). It is devoted to the civilization of classical Islam (up to the 17th century inclusive), with special attention to the Islamic west. It appears in two issues per annum, each of some 295 pages, containing articles of original research, short notes (varia), and reviews. The second issue of each year contains a monographic section devoted to a single topic. All research articles in Al-Qanṭara are refereed externally, and contributions are solicited only for the monographic sections and reviews. Access to the entire content of Al-Qanara is permitted via the electronic edition without restriction six months after publication.
